Titanic Food and Drink: Veronica Hinke on Dinner as Evidence

In this case file, I’m joined by Veronica Hinke, author of The Last Night on the Titanic: Unsinkable Drinking, Dining & Style, for our first “Sip and Ship.”

We make a Robert Burns cocktail, pair it with shortbread, and follow the recipe as a trail into Titanic’s world: Edwardian dining, cocktail culture, Scottish memory, first-class food, shipboard baking, and survival provisions.

This one is a little looser, a little warmer, and yes, the cocktail was real.
