The Host
Meet Damon Henrichs
Damon Henrichs is a historian, lifelong Titanic enthusiast, and host of The Titanic Provenance Files.
A Life Shaped by Titanic History
Damonโs interest in Titanic began with the story itself, but deepened around the evidence: the books, documents, artifacts, records, and surviving objects that allow historians and collectors to keep asking better questions.
With a background in history from Northwestern University and a long-standing fascination with RMS Titanic, Damon is especially interested in the evidence that keeps Titanicโs story alive: artifacts, books, documents, survivor-linked objects, recovered materials, collector records, and provenance trails.
The Titanic Provenance Files grew from one central question:
How do we know what we know about Titanic?
Through each episode, Damon explores Titanic history one object at a time, focusing on provenance, evidence, memory, context, and the human meaning behind the objects that survived.

Origins
A Lifelong Interest
What began as a fascination became a serious historical pursuit. Damon has spent years reading, comparing sources, following provenance trails, and paying close attention to the objects that carry Titanicโs story forward.
That interest eventually moved beyond the familiar story of the voyage and into the material record: what survived, who preserved it, and what each object can honestly tell us.
Method
Evidence First
The podcast is built around a simple question: How do we know what we know about Titanic? Damon focuses on what survived, what can be documented, and where uncertainty still matters.

Approach
Accessible and Thoughtful
Episodes are designed for enthusiasts, collectors, and curious listeners alike, balancing careful research with clear storytelling that respects both the historical record and the people who preserve it.
Mission
Why This Work Matters
The Titanic Provenance Files is not about appraisal or spectacle. Damonโs goal is to examine historical value through evidence, memory, preservation, and context so listeners can better understand the objects that connect us to Titanic.
By focusing on artifacts, documents, books, memorabilia, and provenance puzzles, the show invites listeners to think carefully about authenticity, interpretation, and the stories objects can honestly tell.
